Those who follow
Mary and ponder the simple signs helpless infant of a homeless
family visited by poor shepherds, will see the unimaginable Love
incarnated.
The Magi
from around the world search for Jesus and pay him homage, while
Herod only pretends to do so. At the beginning of the Gospel, these
Gentile Astrologers point to the conclusion of the Gospel, when the
disciples pay Jesus homage, and Jesus told them to "make disciples
of all the Gentiles."
A new world (the
Kingdom of God) has arrived. That new world comes in the person of
Jesus. We are asked to respond by changing our way of life, and to
follow Him.
