The lighting is long expsruoe, in the dark, with at f22, ISO 100. I played with several lengths of time and I can't remember exactly but probably around 25" - 30". I used a tripod and a timer to avoid camera shake. I may have even done some light painting on that one. I took a flashlight and painted light on the figures I wanted to stand out. You don't have to shine the light on the figures the entire time- paint like you would with a brush. This is all new to me so I'm not an expert. I saw a photo with the radiant lights and I wanted to try one. You have some beautifully lit decorations to try it on. Oh, and because it was pretty dark I had to shine a flashlight on the area I wished to focus on. I think you could manually focus the camera and then turn the lights off. I'm an amateur so you probably know more about this than I do:-). Happy shooting!!
